warm character in gahanna

Rose Run Residence

We stepped into an original mid-80s kitchen with honey oak, soffits and a cramped layout that tried to fit in an island and peninsula. Our clients wanted seating to fit their family of 4, flow that would allow for ease in hosting, and bonus: a hidden TV and small appliance storage.

To maximize flow and function we eliminated the corner sink and created a peninsula with the look of an island with amble seating potential. Small appliances were tucked into a new oversized built-in hutch with retractable doors to allow for a clean, minimal aesthetic.

We started our design selections with a stunning natural walnut island and matching hood. We then brightened the space with seamless White Dove inset cabinetry surround and white Cafe Bespoke appliances. Layering in texture with a Moroccan Zellige tile backsplash and custom patterned tile floor allowed the space to have a seamless feel of warmth and character.
